At only twelve years old, Anthony Beteta is well on his way to being a sports and athletic superstar. Whether it is swinging the golf club at the driving range, practicing swim drills in the pool, or executing lightning fast kicks, punches and jumps, each day of Anthony’s week is centered around before and after-school sporting commitment. His weekly schedule is filled to the brim with daily training and practice in his two core and favorite sports: Golf and Swimming. Anthony golfs five days a week and swims four days a week. Where did this passion for sports begin? It all started in the pool: Anthony’s foray into sports commenced with swimming lessons when he was just a year-and-a-half old. After focusing on swimming for the better part of three-and-a-half years, at five he began training in BOTH golf and Tae Kwon Do. As everyone knows, golf is an extremely challenging and often difficult sport even for adults. It requires tremendous, skill, dexterity and concentration. However, it became very clear very fast Anthony was a natural golfer, and he developed an incredible passion for the sport at an age when most of his peers were just getting into Little League® Baseball. Anthony’s extensive golf regimen includes training at the renowned Marty Tregnan Golf Academy in Los Angeles and now trains at MMG Performance in Orlando, FL. Anthony competes in the SFPGAJT, HJGT, FJT, Drive Chip and Putt and SDJGA. As a Tae Kwon Do practitioner Anthony achieved his Black Belt at the age of 10. When it comes to swimming, Anthony has already mastered several swimming proficiencies: the backstroke; breaststroke; butterfly; freestyle; and medley techniques.
